Belt feeders for bulk materials
IFAMAC belt feeders enable bulk materials to be extracted and supplied continuously and in a controlled manner. Typically installed beneath hoppers or silos, they regulate the flow of material entering the process and maintain a uniform feed to conveyors, preparation equipment or other downstream machinery.
Unlike a conventional conveyor, whose main function is to move material between two points, a belt feeder controls the amount of product supplied. Each unit is designed according to the material properties, required flow rate and operating conditions of the installation.
Continuous and controlled feeding beneath a hopper
Material stored in the hopper falls onto a belt designed to withstand the load and extract the product uniformly. Speed control allows the flow rate to be adapted to the process requirements and the feeder to be synchronised with the rest of the production line.
Its robust construction and custom configuration ensure reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. The design can be adapted to different widths, lengths, materials and particle sizes.
Industrial applications
Belt feeders can be used to receive and meter clay and other raw materials used in the structural ceramics industry. They can also be adapted to handle aggregates, minerals, biomass and other bulk solids, depending on the properties of the material.
The belt, drive system and material containment components are selected according to the behaviour of the product and the operating conditions of each plant.
